My good guy friend jokingly “proposed” to me... is this a sign he might like me?

I will make this short and to the point. I was hanging out with friends and my guy friend was there too. I was talking to some girls and out of the blue my guy friend taps my leg and I turn and he’s on one knee. He asked me to marry him and I jokingly played it off. I thought that was the end of it until while we were in a lobby, in front of random strangers and our friends, he says were getting married and that were currently engaged etc.

At first I thought he was just trying to be funny but he continued to say things like that around random strangers and when we were alone all day. Him and I have been friends for YEARS. I didn’t really notice any other signs or weird behaviors other than this propose situation. Could that mean he likes me? Should I try to find out more or do I just leave it?
