I have this shy guy friend from high school. We have texted occationally (5 years since graduation). Nowadays we study in cities far away and now Im in his town a few days so we decided to meet up.
We grabbed lunch and then he was gonna show me around his uni. When leaving the lunch place he said he was gonna meet some buddies in a few hours. On our way to uni he asked if I was still together with my boyfriend. When I said no he seemed like he kinda loosened up a bit, but maybe it was just his nervousness getting better after a while (We are both a bit socially awkward).
So after showing me around uni We sat down and talked and he mentioned an engineering event he had attended with his class and when telling me one of his friends brought his girlfriend there to prank the class he said ”You should have been there. Everyone would have wondered what such a good looking girl was doing there.” He asked of I wanted to see some other things at uni and I said ”yes But What about you buddies you were gonna meet?” He just replied ”Nah dont worry about it.”
Later he said ”I would invite you to my place but its a mess. We talked about some films and he said ”I kinda feel like it would be nice to go to the cinema, haven't been there for like 5 years.”
So, here I am overthinking. I didn't get it there but now when I think…was he hinting interest in me? And was he saying he wanted to go to the movies with me?
Ah I am confused. Please help?
