I have a crush on my best guy friend. I've always thought he didn't know. We hang out together often, going on trips with our other friends as well. And there are times when he's super protective of me.
He mentioned in passing to our other friends before that if he really liked someone, he will be the one to confess. But he also kept saying that he don't mind if the girl confesses first cause there's a higher percentage that the guy won't reject her. He said this a few times when different people asks him. He also said that if a girl confesses to him, he won't reject her and just say yes. I wasn't sure if he was joking about this cause he's a pretty playful person. But he glanced at me as he said this.
He also mentioned that guys are clueless and they won't understand something until it was told to them directly.
Now when he said all this I thought it was a hint for me to confess. But I found out recently that he already knew my feelings since a year ago. He doesn't know for sure, but he told out mutual acquaintance that he suspects I have feelings for him. And at that time he said he didn't have any feelings for me yet.
If he knew all along and didn't say anything about it or make a move since a year ago, does that mean he's still not interested? Should I hold off on confessing?
There are times where he seems he's interested but I don't know whether he's just being nice.
