Do you believe that men who degrade women through texts/in person secretly disrespect all women?

For example, I’ve heard men at my college say disgusting things about women, talking about their bodies, breasts, etc., yet these men have girlfriends. I’ve also had men with girlfriends send me gross, sexual texts, while they’ve had girlfriends.
I’m wondering, if these men can say disrespectful things to other women when they supposedly “love” their girlfriends, do you think that also think gross, denegrading things about their girlfriends and just hide it?

Is your question about men who degrade women - full stop, degrade women in texts, or degrade women in person? If it's "all 3", the 'truth' is very, very complicated.

People who degrade people degrade themselves. They deseve no respect more than what they give. Men who degrade women and anyone who degrades anyone don't deserve to get the benefit of the doubt in my opinion. But assuming they're the exact same to every woman, is a considerable stretch that they can use to their advantage in many ways. Plus, you'll never know how they act towards each every single woman they encounter unless you're them.

I think that if you can see considerable degradation from them and you can prove it by clear means, you can be justified to think that they secretly disrespect (') all (') women.

"Women" and "all women" are not necessarily the same thing however. The latter is undeniable degradation. The former can be debated. This is key in emotional rant talk - things get assumed and negativity and hate gets pushed to the brim and it seems like they hate all x people when they're really just frustrated with one person or a specific subgroup of x.

There are plenty of reasons why someone would behave much more respectfully and cordially in real life compared to online.

To be honest, it is extremely difficult to say anything for sure.
I do not condone any kind of degradation of anyone. I also don't think that that can be the only treatment they met out to the specific group of people in question.

There CAN be people who genuinely hate all x people. And there can be people who are just frustrated/fanatical about a single or a few of x people and their emotional communication can be very judgmental and full of negative assumptions.

TLDR: Possibly, Possibly Not. Depends on the person. You need more evidence to jump into that conclusion. You can assume, but you need to be able to prove too.

My boyfriend is exactly like that. He likes talking shit about women in general, how they're inferior, exc... how fat chicks are useless, exc... we've both cheated on each other, he's sent other girls disgusting shit, exc...

They both only disrespect women who are fat, annoying, weak, losers, and one disrespects ugly girls. They both assume most women are annoying and weak. They don't disrespect your average chick like that unless they know they're like that. They both think chicks are just cute fragile beings.

When they say sexual shit or degrading things it's often to show their affection, to make you interested (one things girls will be turned off if he doesn't act like that), or to prove that they're alpha to their mates. They both love to troll too, and like edgy and dark humor.

But at the same time, one of them who is absolutely not a feminist in the slightest (he thinks women are inferior to men, exc...) thinks that teen on teen rape is horrible and is real rape. And argues that it's really horrible and thinks i'm insane for thinking thats not really rape. He doesn't believe in rape myths in the slightest either. He thinks actual sexual harassement is horrible and that domestic violence is horrible.

My boyfriend thinks sexual harassement is disgusting and that girls don't ask for it. He thinks women are inferior but at the same time he says some girls can be superior or equal to men, and that women can be just as good as men at practically anything non physical.

So I don't know go figure.

There is no way around that they may be jsut learning and experiencing the other sex, but there seems a lack of dignity, respect, class, honor that exists in other cultures and times. The problem is... kids need spanked by daddy when growing up.

Women own some of this problem, a big chunk of it. They've allowed themselves... by way of societal changes and things out of their control like disintegration of family units, have lowered their standards and accept pathetic behavior. Not you, but many. If guys can wander around and get this chick or that chick, then why value one specific one? It would only be because of their own internal values... and obviously, they lack them.

Also... we took a key foundational principle out of society... God. It was replaced by self and money. Believe in it or not, it was a linchpin to establishing some form of decency, in addition to fathers smacking asses.

So I'd suggest you get a large paddle and start a whacking em!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by degrading and disgusting. Are we talking about men saying things like, "Damn dude, Chloe has a great ass" "I know, and her body curves in just the right ways"? Cause if so then I don't particularly see the issue. Women talk about attractive guys too, don't even try to act like you don't, I've heard many women say things along the lines of, "OMG, he's so hot! I wanna have his babies!". I don't think this makes anyone disrespectful to the entire other gender, I think this would just mean they are highly attracted to the opposite gender?

I will say that if they're talking about these things while in a relationship then they probably aren't very loyal. It still depends though, never know, some guys might talk that way and oggle women but actually be very loyal in relationships and just enjoy looking.

Men and women are a lot different now then when I was younger, and honestly I think it's being so desensitized from the internet. I know that's not true of all gender bigots, but in my experience since we all have people of both genders in our families, it doesn't seem likely for gender bigots to disrespect all people of the other gender. I also think a lot of the bigotry comes from their experiences with guys/girls they have dated or have tried to date. Gender bigots I've known are almost always respectful towards much older men/women. Maybe it's a guilt-by-association or sexual tension kinda thing.

Loooong time issue that keeps coming up. The "guys" that say/do those things don't respect themselves. They do it to degrade others so they feel better about themselves, when in fact it doesn't. It seems to become habit for them and will bleed over into their personal relationships to the point of becoming overjealous or controlling.
