I see me and my wife as a 'TEAM'. How we get along together is what counts to me. Primarily, having a job is about an income... as long as we both have what we need (or want) it does not matter where it comes from.
ONE reason NOT in 'her' favour would be if she categorically refuses to 'work'; I loathe inactive and 'lazy' people.

I won't even seriously date her. Why would any guy marry someone with nothing financially to contribute to the relationship? Love doesn't pay the bills. When the divorce comes and she takes half of your stuff and you get nothing, then you'll understand why this is the stupidest thing you ever heard!

Well, it depends-- is she just BETWEEN jobs? as in, still actively looking for her next one? Then sure, no problem. But if she's just a bum and doesn't do anything with her time, then uh, no.

No. She doesn't bring anything at all to the table. I don't need a housewife. That's useless to me. I keep my own home clean because I like it. Gives me a sense of purpose. Taking care of my things. I don't need someone else to do that for me.

It depends why she doesn't have a job. I'd only be okay with that situation if she was in-between jobs and looking or it made more financial sense for her to stay home and watch the children.
