Why do guys like to make girls laugh so much?

My best friend is ALWAYS trying to get me to laugh. He comes up with all of these jokes just so he can tell me. Why do guys do this?

guys will say *anything* to keep the attention of a girl they like, even if it's lame jokes.

guys who aren't so witty will *do* things instead: try to get you to notice them by actions (which may seem dumb to you too)

Thanks lol. The reason I think like that is because I have this reasoning for relationships working out. I think the reason couples are attracted to each other is because they have a similar style in humor. But if the couple does not, than one or both try to find similar things they can laugh at but all subconsciously.

So yeah, I think it's important to keep my girlfriend laughing.
