Girls, if a guy puts his arm around you and you do not react at all?

Lets say a guy sees you, you see him and you start talking and walking together and he puts your arm around you and you don't move closer or move away or tense up, but you just keep talking like nothing is going on, is that good or bad? I know if she pulls away is bad, but also if she hugs back, she may do it to be "friendly". Wouldn't the "he has his arm around me and I'm comfortable with it" reaction be better? help please.

What you said is true, but also, tensing up may mean she's gotten nervous and is not comfortable because she likes you more than she realized... and it can also mean she's not interested, but that's only when she doesn't know you that well she'd tense up in a negative way, or when she thinks you've hugs her for a particular reason (that sin't necessarily platonic).

Not doing anything about it in this case may just mean she sees you as such a good friend that she's comfortable and feels safe, and probably wonders why you haven't done it before when you where such good friends for a long period of time.

...it could go either way...this is a very ambiguous situation...

that happened to me once. a guy that I didn't know very well came up and put his arm around me while I was walking. I didn't react because it made me a little uncomfortable. however, I was all smiles and I really liked being seen that way. made me feel important:). though, typically, that is a sign of "we are together" so I can see why a girl may not react because she doesn't want everyone thinking you're dating. Or, in her head she was like, "oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! :D" ha ha and then the moment was over before she could react,

the thing to do would be to put your arm around her and pull her close to you. lets her know you like her.

Well, we talk a lot and we are always teasing each other, so its not like she doesn't know me. I didn't want to pull her closer just because I didn't know what her reaction was going to be, I was just "testing the waters" I put my arm around her and gave her shoulder a light squeeze. Some of my female friends hug me but I really don't "feel anything" and I pull them closer, but this girl, I don't know, she is more special than any of them so I'm trying not to be so forward, she is a little shy

so keep things going like you are, except I will tell you this, don't do the "arm around the shoulder" thing too much. like, once a day is over doing it. just every once in a while or it gets creepy.

Well, you answered it yourself. If she didn't pull away is because she didn't mind.

Maybe she didn't want to make a big thing about it, I don't think she didn't notice.

She could just not know what to do. If she's particularly tall or short (like me) a guy will put his arm around you when he's walking and its just uncomfortable. you don't want to turn away and reject him cause duh at the very least you like this guy and don't want to hurt the feels, but leaning would probably lead to an even more physically uncomfortable situation. :(

it doesn't mean they don't like you it just means she might have been in a bad mood or she might like you and not want it to be obvious

The only reason I would do that is because I don't know what to do, I'd be afraid I'd do something stupid or awkward.
