Do you give him some still? Just asking as I think a lot of women don't do this as well, and we like them also.
But to answer, it depends on the guy of course, but I think we just feel like you know how we feel/think (or should in our minds) so it doesn't need saying kind of thing? We forget sometimes that it's important and that you women love to get them still. And, some guys it makes them a little uncomfortable also.
I've thought about the last relationship I was in, and one time specifically after we had been together a while, and she came in the room once and I though, "wow she looks good", but for some reason I didn't say it to her, just thought it. Why I have no idea? A weird guy thing lol. But it didn't mean I cared about her any less.
If you're experiencing this, my suggestion is give him a few compliments and see if it brings any out of him. He might just need reminding that "hey, I still like/need to hear them"

Because he might not be getting compliments in return so he feels like what's the point she doesn't even pay attention to me anymore. It works both ways and most women in my experience forget that men are people too and if you want to know he loves you then tell him you love him first every now and then, compliment him on how he looks every now and then, maybe you'll find he's doing that more in return, it's not that hard to do people just need to stop being so selfish
They no longer feel the need to win you over since you're already theirs.

You must be dating the wrong guys. I probably get this from my father, but if I'm dating a girl I still compliment her the same amount. I just make sure they're genuine and not fake/half ass compliments.
It could be they got complacent in the relationship, or they ran out of things to compliment and don't want to feel redundant. That or maybe even they don't understand that compliments Douglas be an on going thing
Because they feel like less effort is required because she is already his girlfriend
