Why does a male friend make stupid comments whenever I'm around?

As example, there was a time at a bar where he just have to wander up, and start talking to an associate. Not just any talk "man talk" which more or less came down to going to sleep holding his dick/waking up still holding his dick. Or something similarly dumb. I'm standing there waiting for my drink wondering if I should laugh or smack him. I was there 1st and long before he came up.

For those wondering at the causal response a) I spent 10 years in the military (infantry) & b) I have two brothers and 21 immediate male cousins... if you think I haven't overheard "man talk" before and far cruder you'd be dead wrong as they say.
