So I have known this guy for a while now. He works at the coffee shop I go to often. I know he has a girlfriend and he knows that I know he does. Him and I have a REALLY good connection tbh. We talk non stop, we bug eachother for fun, we dm eachother everyday. Once I was complaining about how I wanted chocolate but shouldn't buy it bc I need to save money. He agreed and told me not to. He later slid me some from his work. We make eye contact a ton and whenever we do, he makes a funny face and a COUPLE of times has winked at me. We get along super well when we aren't making fun of eachother. He will playfully push me or tell me I'm in the way.

I am getting a lot of signs he likes me. But, he has been with a girl for two years and seems as though he is happy with her? He never mentions her unless I ask about her.

He is a really nice, solid person. Not the type to cheat or anything. I dont know if he is just SUPER comfortable with me and we have become best friends over the past few weeks, or if it is something more?

I'm in this same situation unfortunately... I love my girlfriend we've been together for 4 years and there was this girl from work and we just clicked in a way I don't know. And I dont think I like but I also do and i want to cut myself off but i dknt want to be a dick just because I'm afraid to lose control or something I definitely dont want to do.

If you are happy with your relationship, definitely resist the temptation! But if you so not see a future with your current s/o, it is toxic, etc. Then obviously there is a reason your mind is clinging onto someone else in a way. In that case, there is no need to being in the relationship you are in you know?

It sounds mean but I am secretly hoping he is not happy in his relationship? Like I obviously dont want him in pain or unhappy. It would just be nice to know there is a chance eventually down the line I don't know

I dont mind being his friend! I obviously wouldn't kiss him or do anything if he is with her. I'm simply wondering why he is acting this way? I'm friendly to everyone, not just guys I'm interested in. I just happen to like him but again would NOT pursue anything unless he broke up with his girlfriend.

Like again, I am not going to lie I do feel attracted to his personality and we are really in sync with one another! But I would never pursue something with someone who is in a relationship, that's not in my character.

Basically, I love being his friend. But do I hope he ends up being available? For sure.

Sometimes people flirt and when it backfires and get people falling in love, they say "it wasn't my intention, I'm just too friendly". So, enjoy it while it lasts. You can get hurt,

I dont think I will get hurt tbh. He wouldn't try to kiss my or anything and if he ever did I wouldn't let him as he is in a relationship. I just love this dynamic we have. It is either we are gonna EVENTUALLY date or become best friends. I hope no matter what we are best friends because he is honestly a sweetheart

Glad to know that you have that in mind.

Just be careful. In my experience, most of the girls who are now my best Friends, they were my girlsfriends, or something more (not official) first.
Some girls even stopped talking to me because I didn't wanted to go out with them.
Some others said, "we're just Friends" and eventually, stopped talking to me, because they had feelings but were too scared to admit it. And I liked them too. What a waste. ):

I asked him about his girlfriend today when we were on the topic of relationships. Apparently they are going through really hard times and he said "if it works it works if we break up we break up."

Obviously hope he is not going through a hard time.
