Having a hard time telling whether or not this guy likes me? Please help?

I started messaging this guy from my fraternity on Snapchat because he’d always stare at me, so I thought he was interested. Sometimes during our weekly meetings for our fraternity, I’ll catch him staring at me, and we usually hold eye contact for a bit. When we first started messaging, he’d respond very quickly, but he wouldn’t keep up the conversation. However, now since I’m messaging him more often, he keeps up the conversation, but I’m still the one initiating. Anyway, when he sees me in person, he’ll smile and enthusiastically say “hey”. He’s a lot better at keeping up the conversation in person vs through phone. We are both music majors, and I have two performances coming up, and he saved those dates in his calendar. I can’t tell if he likes me or not. *i can add more info in the updates*

girl I'm in a similar boat. Guy talks to me like we're friends when we see each other, but then through text doesn't initiate or when he replies to my text it's one worded answers. he looks at me, approaches me, everything. maybe both of our guys are shy? I don't know
