Why do only American men likes short girls?

Okay, which American men? African-American men? White-American men? Asian-American men? Latinamerican men?

America is highly multicultural country so there is not such a thing as "American men do that, like that". There are different subcultures in America, therefore different tastes
for example African American men like thicc, curvy borderline chubby women while white American men like skinny women. Asian-American men and Latinamerican men probably like short-ish women while American men with European ancesty (including our lovely non retard president Trump) like tall women. (You know Ivanka Trump is almost 6ft? And their daughter is also 6ft and Trump confessed he could think incest with her... yikes.)

So you see. There is not a unifying culture in America, everyone lives in their own sub culture. Probably the only think all American men agrees on beauty ideal of females is a symetric face and healthy body. Rest is depends on your sub-culture and of course, your personal taste.

That's only very recently in the US. When I was a teen the tall girls were in. They invaded the industry. They commanded the schools. Long legs were the fashion more than gigantic butts and boobs looking like a Turkey waddling around.

I don't know why. My suspicion is a mixture of beauty standards with blacks and Hispanics. In my experience, I talk to my Hispanic and Black friends about tall, elongated figure and they're like, "You fag!" And I'm like, "No, you fag!" And they're like, "No fucking way! You fag!" Then I kiss them.

I don't really kiss them but I think that would be funny if I did. The problem is that I am not actually gay.

My bad, I was taking a piss. The site was irritating me a bit yesterday. In the US, you can typically find a wide range of beauty standards and ideals. It's probably due to the multicultural aspects of the nation mixing in many different beauty standards. Short seems in now (tall was a bigger thing when I was younger, and nowadays it almost seems reversed like I see the tallest women from the US with insecurities about their height).

I'm European and I prefer shorter women. My girlfriend is 20 cm (8") shorter than I am. However, I can be attracted to taller women as well, an ex-girlfriend was only 2" shorter than me. Both tall and short women can be attractive, I don't have a real preference. Although women much taller than me could be a little intimidating, but it's not a turn off. :)

There's just more tall girls here. And a lot girls do look good with some height. But it's not as if we want the women to be taller than us, or super short either.

Culture and race is not the same thing. We have different media, and it is possible that, Swedish media glorify tall women much more than Norwegian media does. I dont know Norwegian media or Norwegian mens opinion so it is just an assumption tho. For example, you rarely see woman under 175cm in Swedish TV, advertisements, no mention to fashion industry, or even in porn. As a result it is inevitable to like tall women for Swedish men since they only see tall women in media. This becomes our beauty norm.

You said Norwegian men dont like women taller than themselves, but I can't say it is same in Sweden anyway. Most men dont care if a woman is taller or shorter than themselves as long as the woman is a bit above average height.

We care about proportions and a good looking face.

Culture is downstream from race. You can separate a person from a culture early on, and make him a part of another.

But that doesn't mean that the specific culture would've been created by anyone else but the ethnicity in question.

Our cultural tastes can be influenced by other people we live together. If you like apple, but find out that everyone in your country like orange you start to re-consider your taste. That is why some features are liked more than other in certain countries. For example I know Asians really love white skin. There are creams for it etc, but we Scandinavians are not fan of it. Asians dont like white skin because they born as Asian, they love white skin because they see the skin-lightening cream adds, white skinned celebrities and hear from other Asians that other people like white-skinned people. Therefore their taste influenced by the society they live in.

Same as tall women thing in Sweden. Every guy here grows up by seeing 180cm tall women in erotic magazines, porn, advertisements. Friend group talk about how 180cm girls are amazing or so, therefore their taste influenced by the Swedish society who like 180cm girls. That is not directly related to race itself, but society. Sweden and Norway are different societies even though we are in the same race group.

It is possible that Norway is more diverse in terms of womens height preference, I dont know what is the beauty norms there or which height range is considere "ideal" there.

You're definitely overanalyzing the height preference of Scandinavian men. There are almost no differences amongst us.

And light skin has been a beauty standard both in Europe and most of Asia for a long time. It's the clear and innocent look that attracts men.

Women who tan a lot look really weird. They do not look like they're supposed to have that colour at all. And sadly, a lot of white women are obsessed with this stupid trend.

As a 162cm girl, I have bullied by guys (and girls but I dont care what girls think) when I was at high school. You know how it is in high school, the least individualist times of us and everyone should fit into societial standard. As I remeber, very tall girls like 180cm+ never had the issues I got, on contrary they were the most popular girls among guys, partly just because of their tall height. High school is the first time you see the reflection of your society. It was the first time I have ever heard that "girls must be tall" beauty norm exist in our country.

The more older you get, the more your tastes become individual. Probably those guys who were emberassed to date me because I am shorter when I was high school, with the fear of judgmental friends, care less about what others think when they grow up to 25's. I am 25 now, guys around my age group are more individualist and own their own tastes rather than reflection of taste of society. Sure, I use Tinder and I often see "dont bother to write if you are under 175cms" kind of bios by men who think they are gods gift to women. But there are, of course some deep people who care more than just cms.

I dont know if the shorter girls in Norway have the same struggles.

Most Scandinavian men don't care that much about height. They want their girls to be feminine. It's not feminine to be taller than your man.

You talk about behalf of Scandinavian men but I still see Swedish men different than Norwegian men. I have talked with a Norwegian guy about that and he said womens height is not big talk there and joked about how "feminized" Swedish men are. Probably Swedish men are more feminized than Norwegian men, therefore more thirst for taller, more dominant women. Just a theory tho.

I have for example, never heard being short is considered feminine in Sweden. Everyone says how "kvnnliga" tall women are. Kvinnliga means womanly, like femine but not excatly, I dont know the English term of it. Shorter women rather considered childish in Sweden, not feminine.
