He wants to do date-like things when we hang out?

He suggested we could take a drive and just talk, we could watch something together, or even just sit and talk with each other. What’s funny is that when I suggested something that would involve us being in the car for an extended amount of time he wasn’t for it (I. e. drive to the next town over and hang out there). He has a girlfriend he’s been with for going in 7 months now. What do you guys think?

The next time he suggests doing something like that maybe you should say something to him like "isn't your girlfriend going to find this weird?" and if he is all like "what? why?". Just say "well i know you say you don't like me like that and you love your girlfriend but if i was your girlfriend i would be jealous" . After this he might stop suggesting things like that or he might just tell you that it's ok and his girlfriend trusts him or something like that and if he says the last one then just ask him if he is guessing that she would be alright or is she actually aware of it and says she's ok with it. As long as he doesn't make a move on you then you are fine.

Oh way back when he first told me about her, he actually had brought up just the general idea of us hanging out, nothing specified like in this case. The first thing that came to mind to say after that, was to ask him if he thinks we should still be hanging out. He response was “why wouldn’t it be?” I then said well is she cool with it and that’s when he told me that he told her about me and how we would hang out prior to them dating, he asked her if it was ok and she said yes. I guess that works. Her and I are aware of each other. But no he hasn’t made a move on me when we do hang out.

😂😂😂 I mean us just talking isn’t abnormal for us because we do that whether it’s sitting in the car talking or doing it over dinner.
Just was wondering if it’s normal for him to want to do stuff like that when he’s in a relationship already?

First thing that comes to mind is a hook up. but also could mean he is comfortable with you and trusts you. I've done this a number of times with a few girls and i didn't see them that way and i dont even have a girlfriend. My opinion is go with it and see.

Haha I was just getting ready to say, no hookup, he said he just likes me as a friend. But yeah I’ll keep hanging with him. Just wanted some opinions on him suggesting date type things 🤔

Yeah i think its just cuz he feels comfortable. I mean a car ride isn't exactly a date type thing, it can be but its something that i do with my male friends as well. If ure comfortable with it then its all good :)

It wasn’t even the car ride, it’s more like the just sitting and talking or watching a movie or something together. I feel like that’s stuff he’d do with her as well.

Yeah even so. I do that with some girls im comfortable too. Sometimes we go and sit somewhere with a view and just talk. Although if you are still unsure u can always ask him in a way that things dont get awkward
