Firstly, it’s in guys’ nature to feel the need to love and protect those they care about. If he loves (friend-love) his best friend, who happens to be female, then he’s simply being a normal male by caring for her. Also, as a guy, he would know how other guys think and who she should stay away from, given that he doesn’t want her ending up hurt. Now, a healthy amount of care and protectiveness is good. However, those levels can escalate to obsessiveness where the guy really doesn’t want anything bad happening to her, or loves and cares so much that he doesn’t like her to be around, talk to, or otherwise interact with, other malesIn conclusion, possessiveness is not good. Protectiveness, love and wanting what’s best for the other person is part of true friendship. But if the friend is being possessive, then they need to be talked to about the mistake they’re making. If they’re understanding, they’ll back off a bit. If not, then I suggest taking a break from them for a few days, or until they start to realise the error in their ways.

I have one girl bestfriend and I don't go checking on everything she does. But whenever she thinks about skipping breakfast because she's not feeling like it, no way she's gonna escape me. I often take her out to eat after the breakfast break timing is over.
And if I see our manager shouting at her for something, I often find myself going in and trying to talk the issue down and pull her out. I'd say we all have different ways of being protective 😅
I don't have any guy friends for me to be overprotective with. If I did, I highly doubt I would be though. I can't be bothered to be overprotective over anyone rn. Do whatever the hell you wanna. It's your life. At the end of the day I can only afford to take care of myself. Plus all my friends are responsible and tke care of themselves, so if I had a guy friend, I'd be confident that he's fully capable of taking of himself. So there'd be no reason for me to be overprotective. Take care of your own damn life. I can't be bothered to do it for you.
I’m not really overprotective of anyone other than my little brother and other children that I know. I have a lot of friends though, male and female, who are very protective of me. It’s kind of annoying, to be honest.

Not in the way portrayed by that photo. It's not my place to tell them how to dress or how much skin they can show, that's for sure. The closest is maybe telling them I have a bad feeling about someone they're seeing or thinking of taking home/going home with, but that's still their decision (unless they're too inebriated to make it of course).
If I care about you I am protective over you. If you are doing and saying things that are potentially harmful I will make sure you know what I think. of course I can't tell them what to do but I can strongly suggest. Whatever they choose I support anyways I just don't want to see any harm come to them.
Hell no, but only once for me bit that was because shed always wander of and shed never pay attention to her surroundings so yeah saved her from getting ran over once and she didn't even notice the car until i had to litteraly grab her and tell her since she be walking unconsciously
Not overprotective. But if they do stuff that's damaging to themselves I try and talk sense into them but if they don't stop then I just let them. It's their life and everyone has some stuff they do that isn't great for them.
Yes but only when they asked me like i went to the club with a few girls and they told me if one of is gives u the eyes then u have to safe is from the Guy or guys Or girl
They are also protective over me i dont ask for them to do IT but its really Nice and kinda hart warming to think a boutI am going to treat them as I would my other friends. Now if someone is physically attacking them Hell Ya I'm going to protect them. It's not that I don't think she can handle herself in a fight but I think anyone would help a friend.
Overprotective if we are interested in her too.
In that case we shouldn’t of never been friends to begin with. But lots of guys make that mistake and lots women are more than happy to take advantage of them in the process.I mean, i just spent the last 3 days helping her with a massive issue in her life, im always at her side protecting her, but I wouldn't say over protective, just protective... though I'm the parent of the group, sp I'm protective to all of my friends
No I let them do what they want. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they're OK. In my experience women can take care of themselves just fine! I've have had to play body gaued for friends that were to drunk but that's cause most guys are pigs not because they need defending
No. I worry for them sure. But they are as sisters and they will do as they wish. Best I can offer is tell tuem things as I see it. Be honest. It is up to them to make the best choice.
No. Not like the picture says at least. I'm too old to give a fuck about my friend dressing slutty. In fact I'll be right there too like 😈 that being said in the face of danger I'll both die and kill for those truly in my circle.
personally i have many female friends. And am the kinda guy who doesn't try control my friends and their personality if they ask for my opinion I would provide an honest one but i dont go on telling them what to do and shit... their lives their shit
Not so much overprotective of them but a little possessive but not to a dangerous level. When I was younger I'd get annoyed and irritated (I wouldn't let them know it) when they didn't talk to me the way I believed I should be talked to.
In a way, if someone tries to hurt a male or female friend, I am probably not going to take it well...
I'm protective for sure of all my friends. But less ab the clothing they wear & more ab their general well being & safety.
No. Protectiveness in the way you are describing it is an exclusive product of romantic love, which I don't have for any of my female friends.
Yes, I can sometimes be a bit protective of girls who are my friends. Also when someone is talking negative about them, I don't like that.
A few of them yes and vice versa
Of course I have a few male friends that can stand to see peeps done wrong and get the captain save a hoe complex and I got to put those pits on a leash in public 🤣My work is predominately male so when girls come in and start hitting on them I go into big sister mode lol
Depends,... if she is a friend. I'm protective but not over. I don't have many friends. If you're my friend, you're family. Now... if you're my woman or my kids... then I'll kill you..😂😂😂😂 and I think anyone would feel the same.
