What do you think he meant by this?

I was on the phone with my abusive ex. I have nowhere to go with our child and I was asking to live with him temporarily. So I said to him " if I could live somewhere else I wouldn't bother you no offense" and his response was "oh trust me I know that"
He knows he ain't shit
He knows I don't want to be bothered with him
