How am I bitter? He called me bitter?

Question

So we wake up and he goes outside for whatever reason. He was getting ready to go to work. So when he came back in I asked him why he went outside. So he just stared at me in an irritated way for like 5 seconds walked away and ignored me? So I asked why he was ignoring me and he was like what did you say so I repeated and he said “ I’m a grown ass man I don’t have to tell you why I went outside. That’s a dumb question”. I just ended the conversation and left. He then called me saying he doesn’t like leaving off like that and I just told him I don’t understand why it’s such a big deal for me to ask him a question. And he said I shouldn’t ask him stuff like that. I told him I feel like I shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells about what I say. He then called me bitter childish and “on dumb sh*t”. He also said all of our arguments are because of me. I just said okay yeah whatever I’m childish I’m all of that then to diffuse the argument.

First of all, the way you ended the argument wasn't necessarily mature, so don't pat yourself on the back too much.
This is why he is pissed. I would bet the ranch that you hammer him with questions like that fairly often. Why would you ask him that? And then to keep going about it? The message you sent was: I don't trust you enough (or insecure) to go outside, so I need to know why you did it...
Seriously? I'd ask if you had me confused with the hired help.

This probably goes to me in 2 ways. If you ask a lot of questions and not give my personal space, I would think either your too much into my life or you doubt me a lot and have trust issues. If you do not ask much questions, I think it's better to not ask those type of questions again. If you feel something is going on in his life, then you got to find it out on your own.

Sounds like gaslighting, he doesn't sound like a fun person at all!
If he needed some alone time because he likes his personal space he would have told you so, is he hiding something? Like a secret smoker or such
