I'm not sure if I deal well with men crying because I'm emotionally constipated myself. I think my boyfriend has cried more than I have for various reasons (fights, movies, more fights) and while it's completely natural, I don't exactly find it an attractive quality.
Bottling emotions is not good for anyone. Crying gives you a release. It's good to let it out. I don't mind when a guy cries. It let's me know that he's human. Too often guys keep emotions and feelings that are perceived as manly to themselves. That only causes problems. I'm not someone that likes to cry in front of people and I bottle a lot. So i know how unhealthy it can be.
There ain't anything wrong about crying if you've got a good reason for it. It usually takes a lot to make me cry. Last time I did was last summer when one of my hens died and I had to bury her right before leaving for work.
Oh man we maybe have differences but still they are human of course they are allowed to feel their feelings so my opinion its ok for me as long as he comes back and fight for life rather than lossing himself turning his life into trash then that's no good.
I have mixed thoughts on this one. On one hand, the catharsis of letting a guy's partner see him cry can make him feel closer to her afterwards, especially if she comforts him and validates his feelings. But on the other hand, it can all too easily lead to a woman losing her attraction towards her man. So it takes the right girl, and the right setting, otherwise it'll likely do more harm than good.
I'd say there's definitely a "shut up, sh*t happens" behavior towards guys crying
We have emotions as well and it's as necessary for us as it is for women
Sometimes stuff gets overwhelming and personally, when I'm feeling like crying I don't like to and that results in anger and usually punching something
It's definitely not a healthy stigma against guys crying because the negative emotions from what I can tell can either result in sadness, or violence
Yes many people would appreciate men crying in public, It soon becomes awkward and a cause of irritation in the females, Then u get labelled as a cry baby.
That's the reason males seldom cry in front of general public or females around, But its a different story when we guys have our best friends around
Crying is a result of your body’s inability to process powerful emotions. If you can’t handle your emotions, then that’s weak. We men have moments of weakness when traumatic things happen in our lives, but we shouldn’t conform to be a bunch of little whiny bitches.
I'm not a fan of crying in front of people; I generally don't have much trust in people, and crying in front of others could cause them to perceive me as "weak." While I certainly don't agree with the idea that it's always a sign of weakness, what I think doesn't matter as much what they think; I don't want to give any invitation to someone who might try to get over on me.
I don't have a problem with men crying, I just don't do it very often myself. I don't know why, but no matter how sad I am, I still never really feel like crying. Even at my grandpa's funeral, I didn't cry, which made me feel awkward since everyone else was.
it means they are at their limit. We're brought up to believe that crying is a weakness, that showing your emotions is a sign a feeble man. So we try to tough it out but when we find a partner to open up to, crying is rare true but it means we're not afraid of crying in front of you and that we seek comfort from you.
It takes a lot to make a man cry. If you ever see it, then something went horribly wrong in most cases and they are probably trying to contain a terrible anger that, when unleashed, will be uncontrollable.
Yes! I totally agree with that. It's like they are in extreme distress and they must release it. For example I rarely cry, but when I do it s because I'm very angry. Not sad. Just angry. It's like I am on boiling point and I have to chose between breaking a chair in someone's head or just go away, lock myself in a room and cry.
I cry quite a few time, especially when I bang my head into a doorway, when I bump my long toe into the bed , as I alway forget the size of my long toes. And I hate being in a dark Forrest I also could start to cry. But also very often I see a sad movie or sonti very emotional happen, so do my fiancee , he perhaps cry even more. That's one of he's best thing , he's Abel to show emotions and often we cry together, because we are so happy for us being together
I’m a little bitch and I cry all the time. If you gotta let it out then just let it out. I’ve seen men cry. I’ve seen family cry, I’ve seen friends cry, I’ve seen exes cry, and I’ve seen my boyfriend cry.
While I agree that men are discouraged from crying somewhat more than women are, I think hormones are the primary reason for men crying less than women. Testosterone can make it more difficult to cry.
Men crying is acceptable pending on the situation. It's not okay to cry when your girlfriend or wife has bitched you out... lost money... GF/wife is being as ass to you I'm sure you get it. It's okay to cry over the loss of a loved one... potentially a divorce or long term relationship like over 8-10 years... stuff like that.
Because for y'all it's okay to cry about. Guys crying over their wife giving them shit is NOT ACCEPTABLE. We dont have feelings like y'all. There's a reason why men are men and women are women. We come together and make magic baby!!! Teamwork makes the dream work
I’ve never been told not to cry. But it should be avoided, women can do it, not men. There’s no support, so it’s generally a bad thing to do. So of course you’re going to see it rarely, because it’s rarely worth it. As a guy, if it can be helped, don’t take the risk, bottle it up.
I cry a lot, but never around people. It feels like an emotional stopgap appears whenever I'm around others and I want to cry and I suspect other guys get that too
It's totally okay for anyone to cry in my opinion. I rather they let their feelings out than keep it bottled in. They don't have to always pretend everything is fine when it is not
I think men should feel more at ease to be able to do it if they need to. Crying and sadness are human things. It’s not something to be ashamed of or looked down upon.
No woman ever wants their man breaking down into tears every time she does. Women loath weak men. They look to their man to be their emotional rock. Their lighthouse in her stormy seas of emotions and feelings.

Don't you cry if you hurt you self
@Petra150 Not since I joined the military. Before then maybe.

Why isn't it okay to cry in those situations, when no one gives girls shit when they cry about anything?
