Why do guys take forever to text back or just don't text back at all?

I've been hanging with them for a couple months and I asked not too long ago why he does it he says he gets busy doing stuff and forgets... im just not buying it. The time before that a week passed and he said he was sick. What's so hard about just saying your not interested anymore instead of ghosting me? Or us he really just the worst texter in the world?

I am not an advertiser for this dude. But this guy knows what he is talking about. A man should never be a phone lover. Women are obsessed with attention. You have a lot of chics that are dating online etc because they like the narcissism of attention from a bunch of guys to boost their ego. If a girl really like me? She will be texting me and reaching out to me. Period. A man should NOT chase!

Thought that was a girl thing. But I usually don’t text back cuz I forget or I’m busy working and after work I go to bed and forget that this person texted me it’s in an off though. But if I’m thinking about then I’m definitely keeping my eye out on my phone

Look, just don't expect guys to reply to texts right away if at all.
Guys are busy doing other things that are more important to them then babysitting your conversation.
So, learn and adopt these two rules:
1. If it's not important and you don't need an answer right away or at all, it's OK to text a guy.
2. If it's important, then CALL. This is why God and Alexander Graham Bell gave us the goddam phone.

Mostly guys would never leave opportunity to talk/chat like that. Plus he might be busy. you should give him time slowly he will reply you. Put effort in talking you might eventually his feelings

All girls I've contacted on average takes way longer to reply.

And they're the ones glued to their phone so... I don't know they must not want to talk to me.

They reply pretty quick when asking for help on hw or midterms tho.

Yyyyyesss... and I think it's only logical to conclude, hopefully you would agree, that a clear indication of "this thing must be important to this person," regardless of what the thing is, is that they are posting about it, yes? And also logical that if many people who share a common trait (in this case, female) are similarly posting far more frequently about that thing than people who do NOT share that trait (in this case, males), then it is safe to assume that as an aggregate, that topic is likely more important to that group with that trait since they collectively are posting about it far, far more often, yes? I fail to see the problem here.

So far I've seen mostly guys chime in on this post over girls so now what? It's "supposed to be important to me" like it is to other girls, (so you state) however it's targeted towards guys which is the original intent. If more guys are answering me over girls why can't this post be important to them in any way as well. All this "just girls do or just girls don't" bullshit is nonsense. ... We're answering this post more than girls because there aren't any girls answering it, because you made it exclusively answerable to guys. Did you not notice that or something? And even if you hadn't, there are more guys on this site than girls so you're likely to see that essentially almost every post on the site has more male answers than female answers.

First, there's no way to know if more guys are on here than guys if so prove it. Second if guys are EVEN responding to my post versus just scrolling past that must mean it's important to them in some way shape or form right? If not they keep their comments to themselves right?
