Why wouldn’t he date me?

I have a close friend for 3 years now and lately, he started to call and text me more than ever. He ask me to a “hangout” and compliment me a-lot. He tells me I’m beautiful, smart and so successful. He adores me and beg to see me. He also calls me late at night. But thats it. Never a kiss and never a date. So I took courage And asked him out. He suddenly said that he did think about me that way but besides chemistry and amazing time together we haven’t got anything in common. So we shouldn’t date. How should I take it?

Don't ask why he doesn't. He literally told you. You don't match for him "we haven't got anything in common". Don't bother, just move on. Don't talk to him and block him.

I had a friend same similar years. I mean literally we hang out and text. Even her mother love me so much she was in the kitchen cooking for both of us. Or some times we as my friend both cook together at her mother house. I mean it was bold. I took the step on the third year to ask her out. She said "I am sorry, no. I don't see you that way. I see you as a friend, we don't match". That moment I felt my heart just dropped. We even exchange gifts Christmas. Honestly, it was perfect like I could go without intimacy with her, I could wait more.

Well, after I move on this was back in 2012 to 2015. She calls me in 2019 some around in summer. Just to ask me how I was doing and later she told me she has a kid. She didn't sound happy with her man.

Well, in 2016 I established a landscape and lawn care business. Still single I want to say, "our Lord is always watching over us knowing what is Best for us, he manage to bring something up. We sometimes we cannot explain or answer at the moment it take years or later on the day you sit and just smile. She or he wasn't for me maybe there is better one out there". Don't give up. 😊.

That’s so wrong of him doing that, he gave you wrong signal, don’t feel bad life is like this, I had the same situation happened to me today spoked my feelings to her tonight and now she saw the message but does not reply back. Wish you the best! Things like this makes as more stronger then ever.
