Guy's Behavior

I saw him today?

He tried to video call me 2 days ago at 01:00 am and i had to work the next day, i basically told him and i said u could come tomorrow and he said allright hun, i asked how late? He said: ill let you know. Which he didn't do yet. Today i was with a friend and i saw him with a guyfriend sitting somewhere but they both saw us coming, when we came near his head looked away (he looked a bit tired tbh) and when i walked past him with my friend he said hi but he didn't smile, his friend did smile. I could see in the mirrors that he was looking after me. When i walked back they were gone. What does this mean? Should i message him or wait?

+ i forgot to say that when i saw him looking after me he immidiately talked to his friend
