If he showed up at my house unannounced... what does that mean?

basically i've been ignoring my guy friend/ turning down his messages when he asks to hang out because he did something really shitty to me. and yes I like him. I thought he liked me as well bc he showed signs, but maybe he doesn't (hence why I'm mad at him... long story but I won't go into details)

Anyways I texted him I was busy and couldn't meet up, and within 10 minutes he just showed up to my house and started knocking and texted me that he wanted to talk.

Did he show up to my house bc he sees us as a couple or bc he likes me or bc he actually has NO respect for me? I'm confused on how to read this situation

Him showing up I'd respect / care because it costed him time, energy, finances (gas), the thought of doing it, and the risk of not knowing how you'll react. All four of those things could not out weigh how much he values you. The ultimate revelation of his feelings for you is the time he put in. He had to think of you to do this. Think of someone who you are just not into. Some guy who had a crush on you but you turned him down. Think. Exactly. You never think about him cause you are not interested. They are forgotten. He has remembered you. Meditated on you followed up by action. He values his relationship with you. You are important to him.

This is the opposite of ghosting. If he ghosted you, then he doesn't care about you and does not respect you

thank you. I just don't understand why he told my friend (girl) that I was just a friend and that we (me and him) don't go way back. He made it seem like i'm just a regular friend and when she asked him if he is interested in me or likes me he said no.

You two are close friends... Likely he is trying to fix whatever it is you think he did wrong by you. If the friendship is worth saving, maybe worth talking with him. If not, tell him, you are done, and never speak with him ever again.

funny thing is... he told my friend through text (she showed me) that i'm just a friend and we don't go way back like that. because my friend was asking him via text if he likes me and if he was ever interested in me... and he said no. and he said we're just friends and don't go way back. so if that's the case why'd he do all this? lol his behavior makes it seem like we're bff's or something... when he's saying we aren't
