Here’s example of what kinda messages he usually likes and how it looks after he ”likes” them.

Is he flirting with me? by the way we’re not friends and we barely know each other.

I think so. He's obviously taking the time to show you attention. He's also letting you know he's put in the effort of reading the message thoroughly enough to love what you're saying
