I’m mushy , my boyfriend is not. Help?

So basically as the title says, I’m romantic and mushy with my words. He’s the opposite. I like telling him how I feel. If I say I miss him, he says how can you miss me already, if I say how important he is to me , he will say I can’t be that important.

I don’t understand it. I’m not entirely sure why he is like this. It makes me feel that he has no feelings for me.

Well i dont have a perfect solution but letting him know that this is how you show affection so that he can recognize it would probably help. Also I would suggest reading about the 5 love languages as you guys obviously just have different ways of expressing your affection.

Same situation here. My boyfriend isn't the mushy type either, but he doesn't really say anything hurtful back either, like it seems like your guy is doing. If I say I miss him (usually over text), he usually just texts back something unrelated lol. It sounds like your boyfriend is being hurtful with his responses. Next time he says something like that, maybe ask him why he says things like that and tell him it makes you feel like he doesn't care about you.

I don’t think he means it to be hurtful , it’s just he’s genuinely like it’s too soon to miss me. I don’t think he means it in a bad way

He was lovey dovey before we got into a relationship, now that we have been in one for a year he’s not at all. It’s weird

That's how most couples are. At first, they will act all cute to get a girl/guy. Once they feel secure and get comfortable, there's no need to be latching onto one another. He may be really secure about his relation and maybe looking at other parts of his life more enthusiastically.
Stop acting lovey dovey for some time and see how he reacts. Don't give him much attention or say how you miss and love him. If he gets mad, it means that he took you for granted
