Probably one of 2 things.
1. He likes you and doesn't know how to tell you/interact around you.
2. He accidentally sent you the snap instead of someone else. Happens all the time. I know you said he was acting weird, but its possible that there is a reason for it.
It doesn't mean all that much on its own, so i wouldn't try to read into it that much.

Usually its a 'in the moment thing' if you were awake and read it you'd have seen it, but you were asleep so he deleted it and went to sleep. I did this too a few days ago. Dont feel like you missed out on it, he's still alive and will talk to you again 😂
