Give up or keep trying with a shy girl?

I've been talking to this girl for about a month and she just is so quiet and nervous around me that I don't know how to interpret it. She is chatty and will initiate conversations with almost anybody she knows, greet them, joke around. She will rarely initiate contact with me unless I make an effort not to say anything, then she'll make small talk and things like that. When we talk and have a nice groove going its great, we use sarcasm, tease each other, argue playfully and can be somewhat b*tchy at times but I like it since she never shows that side to anybody else. Most of the time she is quiet around me and it drives me nuts because its only to me that sometimes I think she just doesn't like me that much, what should I do? I don't want to keep bugging her (she says I don't bug her, but I wonder sometimes) but at the same time she seems to remember every little detail of conversations we've had, that makes me think maybe she is just nervous, what should I do?

Don't give up! I'm shy and I open up to people very slowly. It took me a year and a half to befriend this one guy, and he was talkative as hell. But when shy people open up and give you their trust, its very worth it. Some of the shy girls and guys I've befriended are very interesting people on the inside only if you just spend more time trying to know them.

But just don't pester her all the time, she's shy for a reason. Maybe she doesn't like so much contact all the time. I know I'm very self-conscious and talking in front of anyone is very hard for me. Try talking to her online if you have Facebook or text her if you have her number. It usually works better for shy people like me.

By the way, her remembering details of past conversations doesn't always mean she's nervous. She might actually like you. Because I remember and treasure all the details of moments with my crush when no one else does (even him!).

just give it some time, she is either playing hard to get or actually is shy. If you like this girl, you'll keep trying. Give it maybe three more weeks, and if the situation remains the same, you could consider giving it a break to see if she would try to contact you.

i have a question though.. how were you first attracted to this girl, if she's so shy?
