Should I give up on this shy girl?

Should I give up on pursuing a girl if I'm sure she likes me but she's very nervous and shy around me but not around other guys?

Everyone says she likes me and It's pretty obvious to me that she likes me but it's so hard to get her to talk to me. When I talk to her it feels like an interview with her saying yes or no. All she does is smile and laugh and never asks me any questions. School is over now and I tried to get in contact with her on Facebook but she ignored my message which is something I kind of expected. 2 months before that she rejected a friend request but she kept on showing even stronger signs of liking me afterward. I'm confused.

As I said it takes time for her to get comfortable, if you try to get o knwo her better do something with her, it might work (it did with me). plus, you have to give her confidence, because if you suddenly give up on her she will notice and it will be very painful for her to know you broke up with her becaus eshe was shy.

SO DO NOT GIVE UP ON HER!

Well, that's the thing. If everyone knows that she likes you, and that you know she likes you she's probably afraid. Because if a guy knows that a girl likes him, and she's pretty cute, they'd go after the girl just to fool around. A shy girl like her, she probably doesn't have that much confidence in herself, so she's probably thinking about that. Maybe you should clarify feelings for her.

& even though your conversations sound like an interview, I bet the girls very happy. That's why she smiles and laughs because she's happy she's talking with you.

Try messaging her again. After all, they say that it's easier to open up over the internet.

I'm trying to deal with this guy who acts shy around girls he barely knows.

Its a total pain in the ass, some days I'm on the verge of just giving up, but people tell me not to because I'd probably regret it.

If you start to make her more confterble she'll probably end up being open with you just as she's doing with the other boys.

Who knows, if things work out between the two of you then good things would come your way :)

What I've learned about shy people is BE PATIENT. That's the no.1 rule .

No don't... I was really close to giving up on my current date cos I thought I was getting negative vibes from her and thinking I was reading too much into her positive signs but eventually I successfully asked her out. Took a lot longer to court her but was glad I stuck with it. :)

With the Facebook thing, that's kinda weird. I'd thought she would be eager to respond to that. Have you tried using the facebook chat? (as opposed to writing on her wall or personal message) see if her behavior is any different and if she appears to be really friendly and less shy.

I would never give up...she wants direct contact probably and not cyperspace in my opinion. Go for it. Talk to her directly, but don't ask her out unless SHE brings it up.

She probably IS puting you through an interview process...and thinks you've passed all the 'virtual' tests!

I don't think you should give up on her. Shy girls are everywhere, and sometimes it's better if she is shy because you will be sure that she actually feels something for you and is not just playing a game. I'm a shy girl (at least with the guy I like) and believe me, it's really hard to flirt with a guy or even talk to him. You should talk to her more, make her feel comfortable around you and flirt with her some. Have patience cause we, shy girls, take more time to socialize with the guy we like. Patience is the key. If you really like her, pursue her. I was very shy/closed off, and my boyfriend had to patiently wait to gain my trust for me to open up. Since you don't know this girl's relationship history, you don't know if she has been hurt by guys before. If it's meant to be, it will eventually happen- be patient!

My advice is to quit worrying about her. You've tried to jump through too many hoops and you've put the ball in her court too many times to trouble yourself anymore. If you've known her for a long time, then it seems like she would've became used to you by now. Either let her come to you for a change or go do something else worthwhile.

There's shy...but this is just over the top shy. If you gotta work this hard to try and ask her out, I can only image how she might act in a relationship. Me personally, I would of given up a long time ago, I hate games, just give it to me straight forward. I have a feeling you still want to pursue this girl so I'm just going to tell you to go for it until you can't take anymore...

She's probably also embarrassed because she knows that you know she likes you and maybe she's waiting for you to talk about that and ask her out or something.

So don't give up and ask her out!
