If a guy only calls when driving?

Whenever I have something serious to talk about regarding emotions a guy only calls me when he’s driving. I find it disrespectful because his attention is obviously on the road and I can tell from his tone when his attention shifts. I mean he only calls once a week and randomly texts. But I feel if it’s something serious he should try to find some time at least one day in the week to talk for a bit not just a 10 min call. Am I fair to assume this?

Some people don't see the phone as the best forum for a deep emotional conversation.

Try contacting him using some other medium to have a heart to heart like Skype, teams, FB messenger or zoom (if you must).

That way you can see each other and talk some people need that visual interaction too.

Also are you telling us the full situation behind why he's calling while driving.
Reason I ask is because when I was married I was working 2 jobs neither of which I could answer the phone or text during so what would my wife do... she would send a text then when I didn't reply she would drop call 1 min later then again... And again then she would actually try calling over and over. At the point I could call back possibly driving home from work I would not be in a mood to talk.

I'd feel disrespected as well. It's like he uses you to help him get home by occupying his mind. Maybe he's hiding something which is why he rarely contacts you?
I think there's red flags here so I'd suggest you move away from him, he'd make time for you if he really cared

i would be more concerned that he only talks when away from home... like does he have a wife or girlfriend he is hiding you from?
