What are reason's men cheat?

I have been through this situation in every relationship I have been in ( all long term) I have gotten feedback from ex's to try to help me understand one said "You made me suspect you so I reacted" which is obviously projecting onto me from insecurity, one said "I am insecure" plain and simple but did not really ever do any positive life changes to rectify the problem. One person was a compulsive liar and just denied it through and through but it became obvious to me they seeked validation. So my question is what are reasons men have cheated?

Cheating is a selfish act , people that are selfish cheat , selfish men and women cheat , cuz they are only really thinking of themselves , Cheating can occur for a lot of reasons , for men it’s mainly lack of sex in their relationship , when they feel their partner doesn’t love and value them and barely gives him sex he will look elsewhere or his partner constantly nags at him and makes mean remarks , putting him down and making him feel like he isn’t a good man, so he will be more open to accepting a girl that makes him feel valued and admired or he isn’t attractive to his partner anymore , if she let herself go , and doesn’t really take care of herself. , he will be open to finding someone more attractive, again only selfish men do this. As for Women , women that cheat are selfish as well , they mainly cheat for emotional reasons , if her partner doesn’t give her much attention , or she will cheat because she is drawn to a guys status or looks , Girl’s are drawn to a guys status whether he is a boss or a leader of some sort , or he has a better job then her partner, and dresses better and she feels like a lot of people look up to him she will be more open to cheating , His career turns her on, but if you take that same guy and put him in a Janitor outf. t she won’t be interested. That’s where cheating is different between men and women Bottom line cheating is a horrible thing to do to someone, but a lot of people do it all the time because they are selfish pieces of shit. Never take a cheater back into a relationship , if they really valued and loved you they wouldn’t be screwing someone else. The cheater becomes more selfish when they try to go back to their partner like nothing happened , they are living a lie , if someone cheats that should be their immediate answer to end that relationship because they honestly don’t love and value their partner if they can go screw someone else but cheating partner will try to go back to their partner mainly for what they have established with their partner , a home cars, kids , money and financial reasonings , but they aren’t going back to their partner for love they are only trying to go back for convenience. I have slept with a few married girls that I didn’t know were married until after the fact , when I confronted them to why they did that to their husbands , the reasons I listed above is why. Those married girls went back to their husbands like nothing happened , and the one that got busted by her husband went back to him as well and why he took her back just blows me away , It’s sad that a lot of people don’t value themselves and allow themselves to be walked on , Me personally would never take a cheater back into my life , my ex cheated on me and tried getting me back , I just laugh and say Nope

Some men are compulsive cheaters, either due to trust issues, or a very high desire for multiple partners (which they haven't reconciled with the fact they want a monogamous main partner), or because they're thrill seekers (brain chemistry issues tbh).

I might finally say there are effectively environment cheaters - people who are in an environment where cheating is very common, everyone around them cheats, and opportunities are available a lot. Anything in the entertainment industry can be a bit like this, but you might also see it in some hard driving corporate environments where everyone works 70 hours a week and then goes drinking together. I'm also told doctors are pretty bad (spending days at work, not seeing their partner, dealing with life or death issues, and being around other people doing the same).

For me the only time I cheated was for revenge. She cheated on me, I started sleeping with her best friend. It took months and careful planning, but I made it happen, her circle of friends was chaos, they were physically fighting, other friends of hers and mine didn't know whose side to take, ahh, it was glorious. Of course I meant to be found out the whole time, it was about as secret as a 4 year old taking cookies.

Still and all, it felt shitty, and like an awful burden was lifted when that marriage ended. Whatever bad things I could say about her, we were just awful for each other.

People cheat for all manner of reasons, but primarily they are missing something from the primary relationship. So while you cannot blame the victim of cheating, there is nearly always culpability for failures in the relationship.
Or put another way, what are you doing to these guys to cause them to cheat? My guess is you have not clue-one on how to keep a man. If you did they wouldn't cheat - I guarantee it.

I find girls rest on their lorals once they bag a man they become lazy and let themselves go and dont keep current and fun so the guys loose interest.

Insecurity definitely plays a big role in making the decision to cheat but there is definitely much more to it then that alone. Hence the reason I am asking for input. My personal opinion varies between wanting to have more sexual endeavors and hopeful to not get caught maybe like a fear of missing out? Or became bored in the relationship but doesn't want to end it either. That's why I am asking.

The reason men or women cheat is long. They vary
1. They don't love you, which what everyone assumes about someone who cheats, but the doesn't make any sense at all.
2. They are not getting sexual satisfaction or attention from their partner
3. They are not getting affection from their partner
4. It excites them to cheat. Not necessarily they like the person they cheat with but knowing they are enjoy sexual activities with someone other than their partner is exciting.
5. They are insecure
6. They want to prove to themselves they don't love anyone else
7. Their partner is the only person they have been with
8. Boredom
9. Heat of the moment

What we do is our nature. Men and women cheat for a variety of reasons. There is no singular reason to why either of them cheat. Even though polygamy is a lot narrower and simpler, and hypergamy is much more complex. Its just a fact that most guys cheat for reasons much more petty and trivial than women do. The desire of a man to have as many sexual partners as possible is not a good thing by default, and to do not care about one of his offsprings isn't good either. And i never said polygamy and hypergamy are the reasons behind everything. But a lot of times it has something to do with it in one way or another. On top of that, while polygamy and hypergamy can be viewed objectively, it can also interpreted subjectively by individuals. Thats why most men will have wives and offspring and not only the top 1% of the male population. I might be the best mate in my girlfriends eyes (hypergamy), while i might be a complete loser in someone elses. Again, people are just too complex and we have proven time and time again that we are indeed capable of resisting our own genetics, instincs and nature in itself.
