A guy said "what the fuck" after our first kiss?

So me and this guy had been talking for a couple of hours. We were getting along great, and I thought he was attractive, but I wasn't flirting (at least not on purpose) because I didn't think he was interested and thought we were just friends. So because of that I was REALLY surprised when he actually made a move. He said my hair looked really nice, then tucked my hair behind my ears, traced my lips and finally kissed me. It took me a while to kiss him back (because I was kinda shocked) and then we kissed for a while. After the kiss stopped, he looked at me, smiled/chuckled and said "what the fuck" and then leaned in for another kiss.

So... what does that even mean? Was he surprised by the kiss as well? I mean, how could he have been surprised since he iniated it? Or was my kissing weird? Obviously you cannot know what was going through his head but 😂 I was just wondering if any of you have said that to someone after kissing them, and if so, why? :D

If your kissing was weird, he probably would not have gone back for kiss #2. He may have surprised himself with his "aggressiveness" or maybe he was just surprised that you didn't pull away.

Yeah I guess that would kinda make sense. At first he barely touched me and wasn't even moving his lips, and when I kissed him back he pulled me really close with both arms and started kissing kind of "aggressively". So it escalated kind of quickly

I think the "what the fuck" was less "you call that a kiss?" and more "oh, why not?". If he didn't like the way you did it, he wouldn't've gone in for another round.

I didn't ask, I was still very confused about the whole situation and also it probably would have made it weirder to ask when he was already leaning in for another kiss
