It's just getting out that aggression and settling differences, after that you're left with a sort of mutual respect and understanding.
Ahhh i see
I see it as a sign of both acceptance and respect. You accepted getting your ass beat/winning, and respect the one who won/the one you beat you.
Ahhhh i see lol
When it comes to a fight, you should accept the results regardless of what they are. You can fight as dirty as you want, but in the end, whoever wins is the winner and both the winner and loser must accept the results. If you wish for a rematch, that's fine. But sulking about it or being whiny does nothing but make you look pathetic.
Yea but in this case, i wouldn't be sulking. If we fought, then you mean nothing more to me. Iโll happily go my way and not think of them again unless in crossing paths
Not everyone thinks that way sadly. Even after a loss, some people would try even after losing.
It basically means "good fight, no hard feelings". Men who fight each other often become respectful friends afterward. Women not so much.
Lol true
In that fight we let out our anger, and frustration we had towards one another. After that, we don't feel the need to fight anymore, so we good.
Man this is something
That's especially true for a fist fight between two friends.
Because unlike women.. men dont hold a grudge. We fight, we shake hands, we even become friends after.
I know some men who hold grudges but it just loks dumb to be cool withhin minutes of beating eachother ass. But ok ig
Its how we deal with things. When a fight is over, its over, Its dealt with. There is no lingering emotional baggage with it.
To some men, fighting is more like a game rather than a serious thing. I remember one of my friends in our early teens would put together a big fight involving 7 of our friends.
They fought because dude threatened to steal me away
Well in that case the short lived memory of men is a blessing, generally we tend to forget most of the fights soon unless it's something you have been hurt real bad and multiple times.
Ohh i see
Because some times we're just trying to test strength. After a fight like that, a shaking of hands shows that there are no hard feelings and that the fight was only for fun or to test strength.
Lmao i see
Guys who fight like that are dumping testosterone. Women canโt understand it because they donโt suffer from an over abundance of testosterone.
Ohhhh
I have no idea. How does winning a fight make you right about something?
doesn't make you right but it means you're stronger than your opponent
It's a respect thing. After the fight is over, the hand shake shows that there's no bad blood.
Shiiiit ๐คฃ
Because men usually don't hold grudges as much as women do. You fight it out and move on.
But same day is nuts
Well, guys and girls are different. So we operate on different levels and priorities. Just because girls can't do it doesn't mean guys can't
Girls can. Just a lot can't ๐คฃ
Well, I don't know many who could. Maybe one or two at best. lol
It's a matter of respect. You fight fair, one win, fight is over. We have better shit to do than pouting for days.
Im not saying girls pout. We just dont fck with that person anymore. Guys will become friends with the person
Because the fight was fair and we respect that. That's simple but it works.
It is agreement that the fight is over, the conflict is resolved and we can continue our lives In peace.
I see now
The original hand shake was actually grasping the wrist and it was to show you don't have a knife up your sleeve to stab them in the back.
Oh wow can't believe folks are nuts
Not nuts, this would have been as far back as the iron age.
It all depends on the context of the fight. If y'all both understand itโs a fight itโs fine, but if one guy just comes out the gate with an underhanded and unexpected attack and it lands then thatโs bad blood and wonโt go away so easily
Ohhh i see
Because it's a friendly competition. It isn't taken personally.
And even if it is heated at first, we know how to be a man and get over it.
Ohh ok

THANK YOUUU ๐
It is called respect. Typically it means they realized they were fighting over something stupid.
Ohkay
Because even if guys fight they can let it go 5 min after the incident and talk it out
Yikes
Its a respect thing and it like okay we ffought you where pretty good so we are good now yes okay cool then shake hands
Oh okay
Cos once the fight has been given and the aggression has left the body, it's like a relief and no anger to keep towards that person... You let it all outI guess girls are jus more bitter and still pissed off even after kicking their head in...
I've never been in a fight outside of the ring so I have no idea.
In the ring however it's a way of showing your opponent respect and thanking him for the fight.
Yea this wasn't an in the ring fight
Haha yep except there are always exceptions like you said.
Yepp
Tbh it is a bit of a myth that most men do, I've witnessed plenty if fights and maybe 1/10 do if not in a boxing ring or anything.
Those photos you showing are from a fake video lol
The photo reps what im referring to seeing in person. Not the race. Just the handshaking after a fighht. And i have not seen the video
Most guys usually don't handshake after fights, maybe in the 1950's they did, unless maybe they know each other or something more often than not it ends with abuse being yelled or people going quiet and looking after their injuries.
I live in a college town and these HS and college men def handshake all the time UNLESS theyre pulled off eachother and sent opposite directions
It depends on the contents, They must know each other or something. If you get into a fight with a random on the street or someone on a night out in town. You almost never shake hands after or anything. I've probably seen more people kicked or punched on the ground and the person walks away than handshakes
No im referring to classmates fighting classmates, coworkers fighting coworkers, neighbors fighting neighbors
m.youtube.com/watch
This is the video from the photos. It might be real but I think it's a fake viral video lol
Because its respect and simply because they acknowlegde each other as equals
Why would you want to be equal with someone you beat down ๐คฃ
I don't know never been in a fight, never wanted to be a fighter
Its a way to say its over right? Have to watch some use the handshake to throw a sucker punch
Oh wow
Women will never understand these things. I won't even bother to explain either because they would not understand.
I guess even in fist fights you can be a good sport
Lmao
Not where Iโm from, Last man standing is the victor.
Lol right
I am sure it's a thing but I have never done it eventhough I was fighting a looot.
Lol i never fought aside from the squarrel against the guy in the update and these other two dudes who liked me, but i wouldn't shake hands either.
Lmao definitely can relate but I don't think I would shake hands if the other dude had done something that was really bad.
Uea they must be fighting over nonsense
Maybe because to them fighting is more like a game of honour.
They were fighting because dude threatened to steal me away
You just had a fight the last thing you want is to be worrying about getting jumped randomly.
Why would you get jumped? What does shaking hands have to do with getting jumped
Because shaking hands is a sign of good faith and respect. If you don't shake hands after it means you don't respect your opponent.
Im not referring to sports. In talkin about like fightin over a girl or something
I mean what can you do if lose really besides acting like a child at least if you show respect now you don't have to deal with it a second time lol
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
I've never seen that happening. Does also referee come and raise the arm of winner? xD
No. But the whole block would be watchin
Itโs like we fight. And then we pass our seed to each other. The dudes can relate right? Right guys?
Seed? Huh?
Mutual respect. Obviously.
respecting a dude for trying to steal your girlfriend?
# is for what?
Why?
How?
When?
What?
Where?
If its an agreed upon fight you'll see it, in real violent conflicts its never going to happen
Okay makes sense now haha. Why do you always answer me anon? I won't bite ๐คฃ
ummmm girl did you unfollow me
If im being honest, some your views bother me. So i rather answer eachothers post from time to time but i think its best we dont follow eachother
wow yikes, I didn't particularly like your views but I wasn't gonna let that ruin anything. You were the first person I followed haha... but ok.
Ok ladies, you gotta fight and then shake hands after ๐
Because fighting and being angry is exhausting
when its done its done we don't keep grudges
Aaaalright
A sign of acknowledgement.
Acknowledging what
Respect.
Who the alpha is.
That shit was settled.
Etc.
Never seen that before.
It happens
Nearly everything happens.
I donโt shake anyone hand because covid 19 stuff
Lol this was all before covid ๐
yeah... you probably never will... lol (Guy Code)
Ahh ok
Because it shows good sportsmanship and respect.
After you got ya ass whooped?
Respect for your opponent...💯👍
I tell you but Iโm not supposed to talk about it.
Sportsmanship
Woww
Well ya streetfights are brutal, and usually it's because people hate eachother but sometimes people settle their differences by that fight alone, and once it's over it's over. Even the loser will be a good sport about it. If the winner knows to stop at least, sometimes they do, sometimes... for some reason they don't know.-.
Before sparring me and my partner shake hands as if to say "whatever happens, no hard feelings"
You sound like you fought a lot xD
I have no idea, that's never happened with me.
Hope not
I used to get into fights all the time in school, especially high school, but we never shook hands. Though i really admire you and your boyfriend for fighting for each other
He shook dudes hand after so i felt like an idiot fightin for him when he allowed that dude to hurt me. But this was all back in Hs
men don't take shit personally
Respec
For trying to steal your girlfriend?
That looks fake.
Dude the pic was just a representation of what im referring to.
Ok...
shows respect
I guess so
yeah
I've never seen that
Iโve seen it all the time
@warrenstone same
Men are Gents
Not all
Obviously not all but the ones that fight resolve the disagreement there and then
to show respect
For gettin your ass whooped? Lol
Mutual respect
Respect for trying to steal your girlfriend?
No, for being a good fighter
Sign of respect
I dee
I see
