I’ve knows this guy for 1 year and we’ve hang out almost everyday now. We talked about our situation and we only want to be friends (with benefits) . We’re close and get along and do stuff people do in relationship like making dinner together and cuddling while holding hands but this is the thing, he sometimes says jokes like, “do you wanna marry me?”

What does it mean when a guy jokes like that? We’re in our twenties but I’m really confused by his mixed signals here
