Well it is not a good thing if he hasn't texted you in 2 days but it is also possible he is having a tough time and so he didn't text you.

It is not a bad idea to text him and see if he is okay but even after that if there is no reply then it will be clear that he is not interested.

Yes, it's ok. I'm not big on frequent texting, but in my opinion it's rude to not respond daily. You should tell him that -- I would like it if you could just respond once a day when we're apart. If he can't do that simple thing then maybe he's not ready for a relationship.
