Should I double text a guy who hasn't replied to my text in 2 days?

I was texting this guy (who im actually not interested in, but are friends with) and I was giving him uni tips. He replied to my first text really late and just when I was going out of town for the day so I had no reception. I couldnt reply until many many hours later and after I texted him, he was quick to see my message but never ever replied to it since then. Should I text him saying something else like "oh by the way..." or just leave it? And we aren't that tight so I can't be super open with it or else it will get awkward

If you're not that tight and you don't like him like that, then I don't se a reason to prolong the texting. Especially if you texted something he did not have to reply to. Or if you don't really need an answer to the text. (now I don't know what you texted in the end).
