My professor got a damn rich girlfriend who supports him financially, emotionally and because of her he is successful. What is he EVEN GOOD FOR? He was just a casually flirty individual. Now he's marrying her.
I think pretty and successful girls should start having standards.

I certainly can't see how social media might increase womens confidence, if anything I'd say that platforms like Instagram does the OPPOSITE for most people, men and women alike. It most likely DECREASES their own confidence.
But to answer your question, it's not so much that men dislike confident women, it's that way too many people (of both genders) seem to confuse being confident and assertive with being an asshole and pushing other people down. Straight men just tend to notice it in women more than other men.

I find confident women sexy and it’s been fairly standard for girls / women to be confident.

There is difference between confident women and an arrogant women, rrognt women confuse themselves with confident women and that's the problem later it becomes tough to bifurcate them.

I haven't seen or met any men who hate confident women. What absolutely none of us like is the fake confidence that women get from constantly flexing on pretty they are.
In my experience (and please tell me if I'm wrong about this), the women who post on social media aren't actually confident at all. For the most part, they're posting pics on social media for attention and an ego boost.
