Was he jealous?

So I have a friend I used to have sex with. Recently we would lay in bed naked and not do anything. But last night at the bar that we always hang out at there was a dude that started flirting with me. My whole group knew he wanted me. My friend started to get really touchy though which was really different because lately he has been keeping his distance. Like if I came close to him he would move away. he called me beautiful and would sit on my lap which would make me fall off my stool. And even would purposely hold my hand/ fingers when I gave him things. The guy who liked me ended up being weird and would sing love songs and would point at me. And I could see my friend having a very annoyed look when ever who spoke at times. When we get home it’s the usual lack of clothes but then he starts cuddling me. We haven't cuddled in a long time. And next thing you know we are having sex. I asked him why and he said “because he started to feel me” I’m guessing he meant because we were cuddling. Today rolls in and I act like nothing happened and when he leaves from dropping me off he yells he loves me. But I guess it was the friend I love you.
