Does it mean anything if a guy replies late?

Does it mean anything if a guy replies late to your message or is it just the way they text? Because the guy I text sometimes replies late but sometimes replies quick and when I left him on seen for a bit I noticed he was on Instagram a bit more and then when I texted him, he responded quicker like the quickest he has ever responded and he liked my message.

I don't know if I should still give him a chance or not or just try to talk to him in person instead if that's the way he texts. But we don't know each other but he still decided to respond to me in the first place when I first texted him.

It means absolutely nothing, he's just doing something else

It could be any reason why he responds late, maybe he's hoping for dirty talk yes it happens

He’s probably busy at the moment you text him so he has to wait to reply and other times he’s not busy. Doesn’t really mean anything.

Your generation places WAY too much emphasis on how quickly someone responds to your texts. Of course, you can avoid all those issues by actually calling and talking on the phone, Skype, Facetime, etc. but your generation seems to be too scared of each other to do that.

Start thinking of reasons why someone doesn't respond to a text right away. How many different reasons can you think of?

Keep track of the time of day it is, and what day of the week it is…in comparison to how fast he texts back.

He may be busy at work, or driving, or tending to family/home business at particular times.

The key thing is that he DOES text back! 🙂

I don't respond when at work, asleep, or in the bathroom. Nor do I text people when I am hanging out with others. So maybe he is similar.
