What to do when a guy replies late?

Okay. I’m asking this on behalf of me and every lady that has texted a guy and gotten a reply hours or days later.

What should we do in this circumstance? Right now, I just show that I don’t care. I don’t get angry, I don’t ask why they replied so late, none of that stuff. However, I’m stuck between whether I should even reply to him (if he does text back way later).

The problem with not replying is I don’t want it to seem like I was hurt by their late reply. They might think that I left them on read because I was angry with their late texting. However if I continue the conversation completely regular I feel like that makes it seem like I’m used to being treated any old kind of way and that you can treat me however without me recognizing I deserve better.

Should a woman continue conversation like it never even happened or stop replying when a guy texts back late?

if he’s replying that late then he better explain why… which is usually what happens, but if he doesn’t then I’ll just stop investing time in him… my interest fades and I become indifferent about him which leads me to start waiting a long time to reply to him, simply because I don’t feel like it🤷🏽‍♀️

Personally for me it depends how long exactly and what they say when they do finally respond. If we're talking a few hours, then my responses will be brief and perhaps stop texting them if it becomes "normal". In a case of days or years though, lol, unless they have a REALLY good explanation, I'm not going to respond probably and likely won't ever talk to them again, at least over text. Unless I'm working or busy, or don't have my phone on me (which is rare), I respond immediately to everyone, so I find it odd the people that don't. I know a couple women though that they always take a minimum of 1/2 to respond always, often longer. I don't get that lol

I wouldn't look much into it, only "one" person knows why he hasn't texted back.

If I don't text back right away, I'm sure I'm doing something more important than staring at my phone.

If my girl plays games because of that, she can screw the phone, I'll likely look for a more understanding woman.

If it’s only a couple hours he’s probably just busy. My boyfriend takes a long time to text back and at first it bothered me now idgaf, it’s actually making me lose interest in him and I don’t actually look forward to texting him anymore lol

If it does bother you tho, I think you need to let him know. He might just simply be shit at texting back in general but if you wait to text him back for however long it took him to text you then it’s gonna lead to nowhere and it only encourages his behavior even more

You're right, it's not that serious. That's why I don't care if they "change" or not. Your response makes it seem like women should seek to control everyone they talk to. I'm not going to tell some guy I met yesterday that he needs to text back fast, especially when I'm not even interested.
