Why does he reply late all of a sudden?

We are in the talking stage, and he used to reply fast, but recently he started to take longer time like may reach up to 10 hours, but at the same time when he replies, he seems interested and asks questions, says that he misses me but kept replying late and it makes me confused. I was not bothered at first and said he maybe busy, but it has been over a week, and I’ve noticed today that his snap score has raised but still leave me on delivered..

Girl, I feel you - late replies are so annoying when you're trying to figure things out early on! A few thoughts on what could be up:

- He could genuinely be busier with work/life stuff lately. Things come up and 10 hours isn't THAT long of a delay.

- But if his snap score is rising, it does seem like he's online and being sneaky... Maybe he's talking to other girls too and giving them more attention. Not cool!

- He might be losing interest but still wants to keep you on the back burner in case his other options don't work out. Playing games like that would be lame.

I'd say call him out casually - like "Haha saw your snap score climbing but I'm still waiting on a reply from you!" See how he reacts. If he makes excuses, I'd pull back a little myself. Don't chase him so much.

Let him know your time is valuable too. If he shapes up, great. But don't waste mental energy stressing - keep your options open and have fun! You deserve someone who can't wait to chat with you, sis.

He actually replied back after 17hours, but I haven’t responded yet.. the thing is he shows interest in the conversation and replied to each text but I don’t know why is he replying late all of a sudden..

Man, 17 hours is pushing it for sure. That's super late to leave someone hanging. I can see why that would make you hesitant to reply now.

On the one hand, like you said - he does seem into the convo when he does respond. But the long delays are definitely odd if he was replying quick before. What changed?

My only idea is maybe he's trying to play it cool and act "busy" so he doesn't seem too available? Some guys think taking forever to text back makes them seem more in demand or something stupid.

I'd say don't reward that bad behavior by responding right away. Wait at least a few hours yourself before answering so he knows how it feels. Maybe he'll get the hint that long delays aren't cool.

But if it keeps up after that, I'd start to doubt how interested he really is. You deserve someone who makes time for you, you know? Don't settle for the maybes.

Play it chill for now, but be ready to move on if his response time keeps slipping. You've got options, sis! His loss if he's not man enough to keep up his end.
