Is my boyfriend being suspicious?

Hello guys so, my boyfriend of two years has always carried his phone everywhere I never get a chance to be alone with it most of the time. He takes it in the bathroom even when he showers and when he goes to bed he has it by his side and puts it face down after he’s done using it. With all this stuff I’ve asked him about why he does that and he said it’s instinct to always have his phone near him nothing personal towards me even though he knows I’m a suspicious type. When he’s on the phone he won’t shy the screen away from me he will let me look and watch videos together. If I ask him “can I see your phone?” He will hand it over everytime and he will let me look and that will be it. And he will simply say, “I wish you wouldn’t always accuse me” now is that odd behavior even though he lets me go through his phone when I ask?

You're insecure. The more you accuse a guy, the less open he'll be because he doesn't want you to go nuts about every little thing. If he let you see every email/message then you would be accusing him every hour. He's not into that.. The real cheaters often let you see their phone because they're clever enough to delete/block access to anything they don't want you to see or they have more than one phone.

You're lucky the guy hasn't bailed already.

Honestly, YOUR behavior is the unacceptable one. My phone has all kinds of personal info on it. If my girlfriend asked to see it, the answer is always gonna be no! It’s like asking a 13 year old girl to read her fuckin diary! It’s none of your business.

It is an instinct to take your phone with you everywhere, I do that as well. So far, he doesn’t seem suspicious at all. If he was suspicious I don’t think he would of let you go through his phone the way he did.
I think this has to do more about your self esteem.

He is behaving as if he has something to hide on his phone. Does he do anything else to lead you to believe he could be up to something? Does he go places and not tell you where he's going?

No he always lets me know where he’s going or doing. Very communicative

I tend to believe that it's just a habit with his phone, but I'd watch for any other suspicious behavior to confirm he's not secretly a drug dealer cheating, etc. so you can put your mind at ease.
