Help ASAP please?

So there is this guy I really like. He is going to a far off college in a few weeks. My friend told me that he really likes me, but knows it would hurt the both of us to have a relationship because we wouldn't be able to see each other. He doesn't want to tell me how he feels. After college, he wants to chase his dreams, off in Japan. My first question, does he ever want a relationship with me or what? I do not understand why he won't even bother with what he feels. Second, What can I do while he is away to keep him from liking some other girl? I am very nervous and sad about what could happen

Don't pursue him! College is a major point in our lives after High School in which we redefine ourselves and push towards the people we want to become.

In College he will change and become a different person than the one you know, and you will change into a new version of yourself as well! Don't hold onto an old flame and blind yourself from the new light in your life!

Consider meeting new people in college and making new friends, maybe you'll find a guy who really likes you as well and being close to one another you can build it up much better than you could across the country or the world!

Or just try tinder. Love is weird.

I'll answer the second part... there is nothing you can do that will keep him from liking other women. He's likely going to be gone for the remainder of your life. Not worth pursuing a relationship.
