8 years ago this older (50ish) guy and i met in a f. b comment section and hit it right off and became good friends! Then last Sept we became even closer friends when he started passing down some great wisdom and helped me grow a lot mentally and spiritualy. We always had like pig tale pulling school yard flirtt friend ship... nothing serious just laughs and fun. Then last Nov he thought i had a crush on him, I replied what does it matter? Because i never thought that way. He said because you are shy, scared and taken that why, plus there is no lightning here so sexual energy on my end. I said "same" Then he went on to tall me how i beauitiful, funny , smart, sexy and alluring i was and what middle aged man would not be attracted to a sweet young/sexy lady And i left it at that! All was normal Then about 3 weeks ago i asked for some advice and told him i am asking because i know there is nothing on either end feeling wise i feel safe asking you this. It was like i hurt his ego and he had to prove me wrong. he sends more memes like trying to get my attention, and the past week i have been keeping my distance... he has sent memes to get my attention and a few funny sexual memes and a video which he never has! Does he like me? Am I over reading? Am i confused? The energy tells me he likes me more then knows and there is something there or he to scared to say it. I just want the air cleared between us... and when i do bring it... he avoids it, sends random memes as answers or plays dumb... oh or the yeah i get that a lot young women liking me... 🤷‍♀️ like he projects on me And No straight answers which confuses me and makes it seem like i am right.

Some men not all but some will say anything to have his way with you. He wants a more sexual relationship. He might be married too so best to avoid him. Just because he is giving you attention doesn't mean he likes you maybe only in a sexual way but that's it. To be honest this whole game sounds like a waste of time.

Funny thing is when he brought that up he said there wasn't any "sexual" energy at all then he said he felt bad because he felt he hurt my feelings... which he didn't haha
I know he is not married... free spirited hippy type...(but he did have an off and on girlfriend seen it through my news feed and his posts) he broke up with before things changed on his end towards me and he started getting weird about half a year ago 😬 before that it seemed like a typical friendship...
And the reason i made the he may like me assumption is because i am a very shy quiet person and get lost in my head and have not talked to anyone else really to get a more clear answer
Hence why i am here... get advice, listen and follow my Intuition!

It may be that he likes you, but is unsure if you would consider him at all because of the age difference.

That might explain the hot and cold mixed vibes... more so since i told him i thought and felt there was no feelings between us and he said nothing... seems like i hit an ego nerve... and he wants something because he knows he cannot have it... make sense? Or proving me wrong? Haha 🤷‍♀️

No, far from creepy... i am an only child and an older soul takes a lot to scare or creep me out lol
Sorry for being so forward... but do you have any advice or wisdom on how to handel or approach this? Maybe even understanding this on a different level?
Also the reason i said i feel and think there is no feelings on either side is because i was hoping he would be honest and say something... he is so hard to get answers from when it comes to how he feels haha not that he is hiding... he is a private person the same way i am

It's difficult to tell what his feelings are and it sounds like he isn't sure what to tell you either. It sounds like there might be some attraction. Are one or both of you taken? That might be an issue. Ask him if he would ever consider dating someone your age.

I am taken and he has known that since we met 8 years ago, My husband also knows about him and our friendship ( i am a very honest person... i hate hiding things) He has had off and on long distance relationships and believes in open relationships. and yes he has made it clear he has dated younger women and they seem to be attracted to him haha
The more I think about what is bugging me the most is I just want us to be honest and open with eachother like we are with almost everything, I feel if the air is not cleared it may hurt our friendship or these mixed feelings from the past few weeks may cause un wanted assumptioms. And if he does have feelings i want to able to let him know i am not creeped out but rather flattered!, and that nothing will ever change our friendship and we both know how we feel and where we stand!
Am I making any sense? 🤔 lol
