Why is my ex dating someone just like me!?

My ex and I broke up 2 months ago.. it was more him but he was more upset than I was. (basically he was acting distant and I ended things cause I'm not waiting around, but he agreed).. anyway his seeing this new girl and I see them out together and he msged me saying 'what do you think of her?' and I replied saying I've never spoken to her? and he msged back saying "good, she's a nice girl and all but to be honest she is a complete downgrade from you." - this girl looks just like me (all the same features) his best friend even called and told me he was pretty much searching for girls that look and behave like me... wtf! Since the break up I acted like I didn't care and he seemed 100% keen to get back together so I told him I still liked him and he told me he had no feelings for me, we haven't spoken since and he seemed pretty upset. HELP! why is he dating a girl JUST like me but says she's a downgrade?!? doesn't make sense!

Look, most probably a rebound, he wants to fill the empty space in his mind but he can't really be true with himself, you need to ley him go, cut all contact, he needs to play fool by himself and dont let him drag you in his drama. If you want him back you have to give some time to miss you and you need to recover and improve yourself first
