Of course, but it would likely vary in levels depending on the person I am dating, I mean that in a way such as

their personality could be a one that they don't need as much protecting and it gives me more reassurance of their safety,

or their loyalty levels in that I know I don't need to keep an eye on her around other guys that hit on her because she is only in love with me.


But a lot of the time my protective levels tend to stick out a lot is the one for protecting people from general harm, not from other people but from objects and general injuries as a whole, so I tend to sometimes get a little bit parenting on people when they are close to injuries or get injured, it would likely be the same if I had a relationship where I would try to prevent them getting hurt but if they hurt themselves I would help them and then lecture them and depending on the injury and how they got it I may well laugh a bit for them getting in the situation.

But I would definitely take care of them fully even if I was finding the current cause of the injury funny.

I am protective by nature, with everyone around me... some strangers as well (depending on the situations) and with a significant other, well... that sense of caring for all her well being becomes more significant indeed, to me.

If I ever become a father, I know very well that I'll have tone it down a LOT lmao... or I just won't sleep a night or day, watching over a newborns sleep

however, I am not overprotective and I definitely do not like to get overbearing
