I told my guy friend that I found his best friend cute, and he left me on seen, why did he do this?

For context I said that I hoped that his best friend was going to be at a meet up we're going to do next weekend. he kept asking me why and I just said that I thought he was cute, but he left left me on read, why?

If it were reversed, would you like it? Maybe you wouldn't care? It would be a turn off for me, especially if I liked you at all. Maybe he does you a little bit? But even just to have someone going through me to get to my friend would be a turn off. It's like, go talk to him, leave me out of it lol.
