I have nothing against people trying to improve themselves. Be as based as you can, I am rooting for you! But I think sometimes these labels encourage a toxic mindset. Thoughts?

Most of the guys have traits of an alpha, beta or sigma, you rarely find a person that completely fits the description. I too find the whole alpha thing kinda toxic cuz you are trying to play a character that you aren't familiar with. You can blame this stuff on men not having the right guidance or places where they can speak their mind like women have. So if a young guy tries to go after women and he notices that he is getting rejected or just done dirty, he will turn to stuff like mgtow or the red pill where they teach men good and bad stuff. The bad stuff is that it creates a kind of hostility towards women. Since almost all women want a high value man, in short an alpha male a lot of young guys especially try to fit the character.
I am fine with been called a beta, because at the end of the day yeah i do like my woman to be alpha so what i am beta of course.
Then just percentage wise more women want a dom partner than not. So changing on that aspect is just logical really.
It's why it's better for one to be flexible but granted not everyone can do that.
Now when it comes to toxic mindset and words. Literally every word can stigmatised. Is words been used as such toxic and only said normally by jerks sure. But it don't really matter the word there using because there is always another one that replaces it, and there is always jerks.
When I was a teenager, guys that weren't masculine and who were submissive to women were referred to as "puppies".
I think labels change, but the boxes don't. People seem to love to put themselves and others into little boxes with labels.
They are SO 'overdid' -- overused, lame, unnecessary, AND annoying!
It also "dates" you & calls attention to your socializing with a particular age-group, who still toss these terms around as if they were fresh.

It’s pointless and embarrassing when other guys come in to it.
Also it makes them an hysterical target.
we had a guy who was always coming out with it, so we would pick social events such as karting, stuff we knew he was rubbish at, then publicly emasculate him lol.
It is toxic and is another way that guys put other guys down and cause mental health issues by using it as a failure.
They were from the get-go. The idea stems from a flawed study of wolves in captivity, who were acting very unnaturally, for wolves. For some reason, no one seems to remember this, and it's another myth, like praying mantises eating their mates, or lemmings jumping into the sea, that has no basis in reality.
It's the equivalent of trying to explain someone's personality by breaking out a phrenology head.
I think it reduces people to animals, frankly said.
''Alpha, Beta, Sigma male'', that's how I'd call dogs, not people.
The only distinction you can make between people is leader and follower, but even then the roles can be quickly subverted and in some situations it's actually the follower who leads through the leader.
It's definitely gone rather silly now. I'm even seeing YouTube vids with titles like "sigma male mindset" and "life advice for omega males" and shit. It's basically like star signs at this point, the terms are vague enough that anyone can retroactively slap on a simplified label and call it "profound".
They're not unnecessary. Some men are more attractive than others. And if women have the freedom to choose, unavoidably the unattractive ones will never fuck in their life. The ugliest woman in the world can get on tinder and find a buffet of cocks to choose from. The alpha-beta videos you're referring to are made by grifters monetising the thirst that exists in the male population today.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/sNttiuddy6EA very toxic way to look at life if you seriously believe in those labels
You can add cis male in there to. Thsts another one
they are just opinions. nobody forces you to give a shit about opinions. i personally don't share those opinions either.
They were always stupid - but unscrupulous people will always try to make money from the stupid and gullible.
Yeah. Even women who says "I want an alpha to babyfeed me"
It's childish
Its astrology for guys
I'm sorry? Um, are you attacking my preferred pronouns? I think I'm triggered and offended and some other stuff now.
No more annoying and toxic than feminist and women culture
#GirlPower
It's only fun when its used to be arousing during sex talk
You are right on the money.
It's stupid trendoid BS.
Those labels are definitely true though.
They're funny
I agree
