My guy friend recently graduated as a lawyer and he changed as a person. More arrogant and cocky. Will he ever be like he was before?

He’s 30. I’ve known him for awhile and had feelings for him that were growing.. I loved how humble he was and he seemed sincere. But it seems like ever since he graduated this year with his law degree, found a job and is now a lawyer.. he just isn’t the same. Like it’s all he thinks there is to him now? Like if he were at a party and he were to describe himself all he’d say is he’s a lawyer or that’s all he has to talk about. And he does it in a bragging way, as if he thinks the whole world is awed by his title and he’s the hottest thing. And not only that but he once seemed to value friendships and relationships. He was single for a long time but recently it seems like he’s trying to hook up with women like he thinks they’ll flock to him now that he’s a lawyer. This makes me sad because I don’t even like who he is now. And I wanted to tell him my feelings for him but now I don’t even want to. I came across him on tinder and all he has as his bio is he’s a lawyer. Why has he changed so much? Do I not understand what it means to be a lawyer? I don’t get it where all this ego came from suddenly.

Did he change though? Or was the person he was before more an act? Some people will use people when they're at a lower point in their life just to have anyone around them, but then when their circumstances get better, they think they're so much better so they deserve "better" ..

One of my old girlfriends was an attorney, and they typically work very hard. Getting through law school is very difficult too. That being said, I'm not sure why the guy changed. It happens with some people and it's unfortunate. I don't really care why they become that way. I just don't associate with them.

He is insecure and thinks that being a lawyer gives him a whole new identity. Tell him a lawyer is just a crook with a license.
