Why is he ignoring me?

It’s been a week he’s not responded to my message asking if he’s ok. I’m not blocked because I have 2 grey ticks. I don’t understand why he would do this it’s not like we had an argument or anything. He’s always been very responsive but it doesn’t look like he’s using WhatsApp as he’s never online anymore. His privacy settings have always been private but I used to see him online all the time until about a week ago.

Ok so 2 grey ticks mean the message has been delivered to his WhatsApp but he's not opened and read the message. Could be a couple of things, either something is up and he's decided to ghost you, especially if he hasn't attempted to contact you in the last week. Or there is a reason he can't get into his WhatsApp, but then I would have thought he'd try and contact you a different way. Why don't you try and contact him another way? Maybe he's sick and isn't using his phone.
Is this just a guy you've been chatting to or have you met in person?

I don’t want to contact him another way because I already feel like I’m bothering him. It just doesn’t make sense as to why he hasn’t been online unless he’s using flight mode before he opens the app. Would someone really go to that much trouble though? On the other hand I feel like something could be up because he told me a couple of weeks back that he was going through something, just didn’t say what. So I really don’t know. We have met in person a few times just not recently.

I don't know that anyone would go to the trouble of doing that, you can just turn off your availability instead. Maybe if he was going through something he doesn't want to speak to anyone. Maybe you should try and reach out to him, he might need someone to speak to.

Yea I get that but in my last message I did ask him if he was alright and that was actually the second time I’d reached out that week with no response. I can see he’s been active on Instagram which I forgot to mention. So I don’t know something could be up but he could also be avoiding me for whatever reason. I’m not the type to chase especially when a guy knows I like him but maybe I will give it a few more days and try calling him
