He never texts first but responds fast?

Here's the thing: we know each other for 2 months and have only been texting each other. I don't know if he likes me romantically but he said he enjoys talking to me and almost always responds immediately, yet he never texts me first. It happens only when I don't send a message for a very long time, that's when he asks if everything's okay. I've already told him that I don't like to text that frequently because it makes me think that I bother him but his response was that it's not true at all. I know that he's shy but this behaviour frustrates me because I don't understand why do I have to be the one who always does it first. What should I do?

a lot more young men these days are raised without fathers or even discouraged from being assertive. One wrong interaction can change a mans behaviour for life. White men especially have been raised for thousands of years to be easily trained. This can be good and bad.
You must use this breed trait to your advantage. If you are serious about this guy it is worth you training him. He will have thongs to teach you too, deepen your dialogues!
Tell him to call or text whenever he wants you, whenever he desires you. Sexual desire is a mans main motivation in Life. If you can be comfortable with that then you will have an excellent companion.
