4.6K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It doesn't matter who messages first. There should be no ego or pride here. What is important is how responsive he is to your efforts. If he replies fast enough then it is a good thing.

What do u think from our conversation?
I messaged him like 11pm on instagram. I asked him a question about a energy drink that he posted about. I asked it’s really all natural and he went to look information of the product from their website for me and said that it’s a really great drink lol.
Then I said to him that I don’t really believe companies own advertisements. Then he sent me 7 line of text how companies can't lie about those information etc. at the end he was like it’s a great company and he buys natural products from there.
He sounded really smart (used big words and gave thoughtful replies)
Interesting thing is that he knows that I work in the healthcare field. Also he isn’t the type of guy that would buy natural products and really emphasize it.. by the way the company that he talked about was a superfood company. I don't know if he just wanted to impress me……
Asker+1 yAt most it has taken max 1h to reply to me.

Well firstly from your conversation it seems to me that he is genuinely interested in talking to you and he knows the fact that women dislike it men take too long to reply unless there is an exceptional situation and has a good reason for the delay and hence he replies as fast as he can.
Secondly to him you may seem like a curious person, a curious woman and hence he made sure he takes the extra effort to look for proper information and then give a long and thoughtful reply. Even I am like that. It is his way of showing his respect towards you. It is a great thing. Surely women like that and appreciate it as well.
Overall it is a very good thing.
Asker+1 yU think he seems interested or just nice?
Asker+1 ySo it wouldn’t be desperate if I keep reaching out to him?
Asker+1 yI also feel like he mansplain or maybe he tries to looks smart….
Asker+1 yby the way he copy pasted the information for me lol.

"So it wouldn’t be desperate if I keep reaching out to him?"
No it won't be desperate if you only reach out to him once in a day. Every time you reach out to him then first let him respond and then you take it forward.
You should wait for him to respond to your message first. If you do this then it is not desperation at all.
Many people misunderstand the term desperation. It will only be desperate if you keep messaging him non-stop or many times during a day. Yes that would be desperation and you are not doing anything like that.
If you message him once and wait for his reply before you message again then that is logic, it makes perfect sense and nobody will say that is desperation because it is not. - +1 y
"I also feel like he mansplain or maybe he tries to looks smart…."
Well if is trying to look smart or just showing off then that is not good. I am sure women dislike men who show off.
There is no way of knowing whether he is trying to show off as if he is smart and intelligent or if he genuinely is. Unless it is in real life and face to face. - +1 y
"by the way he copy pasted the information for me"
Well copy pasting the information isn't wrong, nor it is unethical. Just because a person has copy pasted something doesn't mean they don't understand that thing or have no knowledge about it.
If they are able to explain in detail or explain thoroughly as to what they have copy pasted then it means they know what they are saying and they have knowledge about it.
Asker+1 yMore like I was thinking did he put effort into our conversation. Mind you I messaged him little before 11pm and he responded to me promptly even though it wse work week lol.

Okay so what? What is strange in this? If a man replies fast then also women question the man's intention.
If a man replies late and at his convenience then also women question the man's respect level for their efforts they take to reach out to the man.
What is wrong if a man replies fast? Is it not a good thing? Why have this doubt?
Asker+1 yI like him and I like the fact that he’s responsive to my texts. I feel like he’s giving me the green light to talk to him more even though he’s not messaging me first.
Do u agree?- +1 y
I will tell you one thing. I also respond to a woman's reply or messages as fast I can and more so if the woman is curious or extra curious because that is simply my way of showing respect towards a woman and it doesn't matter to me if it is a work week or not. Doesn't matter what time of the year it is.
I don't see anything wrong with this and there are men like me. I know it.
Hence this man in question that you interact with does the same. There is nothing strange in this. You are simply overthinking.
Asker+1 yHe always responf to my first message first not just when I’ve asked him a question.
Asker+1 yI meant quickly. I’m afraid that he’s just friendly ://
Asker+1 yWhen u respond quick to a womans message does it usually mean that u like her (especially when u don’t know her well)

"When u respond quick to a womans message does it usually mean that u like her (especially when u don’t know her well)"
No. It is not automatic indication of the same and doesn't mean that the man likes the woman. For liking a woman there are other signs, clear signs which can indicate towards the same.
A man replying fast and giving thoughtful replies is a way of showing respect towards the woman and treating her well. It can be purely platonic as well.

Some guys are introverts and don't know how to start a talk, i think you should ask him out and get to know him more, face to face meeting
