He is waiting to hear from you as to your availability. There are some people who even though they are told they will be contacted, they feel uneasy about texting or calling because they think they are being pushy or impatient. That very well could be the case here. Another possibility is he doesn't want to talk over the phone now, because he wants to save his conversation for your next "date" or get-together.
So my advice to you is to see when you are free next and let him know. But don't drag your feet, he may think you aren't very serious about him or have lost interest if you take too long.

By saying "I will let you know," it's like saying "Don't call me, I'll call you." You're not going to get a quality relationship by playing these types of games. Guys are lousy mind readers. Don't expect them to guess what you want. They'll see you as too much of a chore and find someone else.
Stop focusing on what you believe he should do, and start reaching out for what you want. Which would be more satisfying of these options... sitting around frustrated because you want a hug and kiss and your boyfriend isn't doing it (because he doesn't know that's what you want) or reaching out to him and giving him a hug and kiss and experiencing his response?
You're young and inexperienced and believe you're supposed to play games. In time, you'll discover guys don't appreciate the games girls play. If you want to be with a guy, learn what guys like and do that... rather than do what you see in movies or observe your friends doing.
